I worked some time ago in a script to automate the creation of pdf's from
quark documents through a local network. The user sent a mail to the
"server" with a subject (more reliable than the body), such as:
"MakePDF/Disk 1:Works in Progress:doc_1.qxd"; and, additionally, some rules
in the body of the message (if "please, do it low resolution" is in contents
of the_message then...).
This "Outlook server" was then remotelly administred, with thypical orders,
such as "makepdf", "restart", "shutdown", "attach-me this file I need so
bad".
So, your idea is absolutely cool... Also, some time ago, I found Outlook a
little not-very-robust for this job, and I turned to Entourage...
;-)
