Newbie needs help...

I'm getting the following error when running a compiled script (saved as an application):

Could not run the script "AppleRunScript RUN" because of a program error. -1344

The script is as follows:

tell application "Finder"
activate
select file "ChangeBook-spanish.pdf" of disk "NeATTC"
open selection
end tell

Can anyone tell me what is wrong?
