Open an existing message with Mail.app

At the risk of being sent back to the archives that I've been searching
for the past 4 hours I'll just ask.
If you can, how do you tell Mail to open a window containing a message
as if I'd double-clicked on the message in the viewer window?
I.e, get the window with the Reply/Reply All/Forward/Print toolbar.
I read that as of March this hadn't been implemented but that was a
long time ago.
