Hello.
I think that the traffic on this list has strongly increased these times.
I think that more than a negligible fraction of that traffic consists
in off-topic posts.
These last days, the traffic is such that I am unable to read all the
posts, and I think that such might be the case for other people, too.
This sums up to two conditions (much off-topic traffic + some members
paying less attention to incoming mails) which might impair the use
of the list, in particular as far as new members are concerned.
This message is to propose that users posting off-topic messages
consider inserting "[OT]" in the Subject. (Even if the Subject
already includes "rant" ...)
