It is, and you can. You can also, in 10.2 set up a folder action that will
allow you to simulate watched folders.

Thanks for this advice.

What I had in mind was the possibility of scripting into the laserwriter 8 rdev to choose the "print to file" option and then choosing the "pdf option" as an AppleScript.

Is this possible?

I'd hoped to call such an AppleScript from within a FileMaker Script.

Apologies for the ignorant question, but I am very new to AppleScript
