I'm trying to optimize execution time for a script
(running on os x) which makes a lot of calls to
QuarkXpress 5 (running in emulation). I've had some
improvement by setting the following in Quark:
set measurements showing to false
set tool mode to drag mode
set view scale to thumbnails
...but what really makes it run fast (like, almost
twice as fast) is if I manually collapse the window of
the Quark document while the script is running.
Can anyone help with the applescript syntax to
collapse a window in QuarkXpress? The finder does not
seem to be able to "set collapsed of window 1 of
"QuarkXPress" to true" and Quark's scripting
dictionary does not mention a collapsed property
associated with a window. Can it be done?
Thanks!
