Adding "On Idle" breaks my script

  • Subject: Adding "On Idle" breaks my script

OS 9.2.2 AppleScript 1.8.3

I have a script that works if I run it from the editor with the 'on idle'
handler commented out.

If I add the on idle handler and save the script as a stay open, compiled
application, when I double click on the resulting application I get:

Could not run the script
"AskDomino" because of a
scripting system (OSA) error -1750

I'm assuming that I'm doing something in my script that I'm not allowed to
do in an on idle handler, but I can't work out what it is. Can anyone shed
some light on this error message?

Thanks,

Steve
