Entire Contents

Hi everyone. I'm new to the list, but not to AS, and Macintosh.

I've been trying to use write a AS program to populate a database of files
on removable disks.

Can anyone explain the seemingly quixotic way the command Entire Contents
works.
In the Finder dictionary it says that Entire contents with return the
contents of the container specified and its children.

TIA

Jeremy Jeffreys
