Hi,
I downloaded the applescripts for QT5 from
http://www.apple.com/applescript/quicktime/ in the hope that they
would work in QT6 pro.
The key ones don't - 'Convert to DV Stream' or 'Save Copy as DV Stream'.
In both cases I get the following error 'Quicktime Player got an
error - A resource wasn't found.'
Exporting an AVI file to a DV stream works fine from within QT6 Pro,
but I can't get the AppleScripts to work.
I'm new to AppleScript, and indeed, to the Mac and am pretty well
stuck. I have around 600 AVI clips to convert and am dreading the
day when I'm forced to convert them manually.
Can anyone please help?
Someone mentioned that QT 6 is recordable. Have you tried to record the export?
Since you are new to AppleScript, to record a script:
1. Open a new script window in Script Editor
2. Press the record button
3. Switch to QT Player and perform the required action(s)
4. Switch back to Script Editor
5. Press the stop button
If it is indeed recordable, you should have a basic script which can
be tweaked to work on multiple files.
