Mail.app: Reindexing Inbox

Hi Everyone!

Does anyone know how to tell mail.app to reindex the contents of the INBOX? I am using a program to download my Yahoo mail into a "dummy" account I created, but when new mail is written to the file mail.app isn't aware of it so I have to close the window and open it up again to see if there was any new mail. I've searched everywhere and cannot find a way to tell mail.app to do it automatically. Does anyone have any ideas?
