tell application "Finder" to get name of every process
Same as above, minus UI Scripting and Script Debugger, I get it to
compile and run.
--> {"loginwindow", "Dock", "SystemUIServer", "Finder",
"MicrosoftMouseHelper", "LCCDaemon", "WeatherPopApp",
"MagicMenuHotKeyDaemon", "Mail", "Safari", "PGPservice", "Script
Editor", "System Events"}
As I said, I got it to run every day for the past several months, even
with UI Scripting and Script Debugger, so that doesn't tell me
anything i don't know. I know perfectly well that it can work. What
I'm hopuing to discover is why it should suddenly have stopped working
when I didn't update or change anything.
Works fine here and gets all names:
- Carbon's and Cocoa's in Mac OS 10.2.4
- All launched apps in Classic (Mac OS 9.2.2).
This procedure may help:
Stop Classic (if launched) and "Repair Disk Permissions" in "Disk
Utility/First Aid".
Thanks Paul to tell us what happens!
PS: have you installed a security update?
Kind regards,
Philippe/SVM Mac
