Right now I am trying to understand how to script so that I can
incorporate IC in other scripts. I have tried to understand what they

down list on the IC Panel. What the heck are they talking about here?

If you connect your machine through PPP, your configuration should be "PPP configuration 1".

If I simply use "connect" with no modifying string I get
authentication failed. Yes, I know I can write out connect to phone
number xyz with user abc and auth lmnop. But I belive it also says
that it should simply connect to the default setting without spelling
it all out. Yes? No?

Yes. OMM, "tell application "Internet Connect" to connect" works flawlessly (10.2.1).

<duck> Maybe you did not check "save password" in the PPP tab of "Network"? </duck>
