I don't know much about Unicode, but I'd still like to see it. Maybe JD will
take you up on it.

Yes it can, I just checked. Unfortunately you still can't enter insert a
Unicode character from Character Palette and compile it 'as Unicode text':
it turns into a "?". This is true even when I change my AppleScript
Formatting so that string Values are represented in Lucida Grande. If I
insert one of those accented Greek characters from the Character Palette, it
inserts fine, but as soon as I Check Syntax it turns into a "?". So your
library in combination with Chris's Perl script could be very powerful.
