I can remember a standing ovation - circa 1986 - when Bill Atkinson demonstrated Hypercard to an audience at a Developer's Conference. At the time attendees were told that Hypercard would ALWAYS be available, for free, as a part of the MacOS. It was part of Apple's deal with Atkinson and therefore worth developing for. I was fooled and wrote a bunch of XCMDs - now useless.
I wonder how Bill feels.
