Keep in mind that "me" is the application that the script is running
in. If the script is a script application, or droplet, or an
AppleScript Studio application, then the script is the application;
but if you are running the script from the script menu in some
application, then "me" is that application; if you are running the
script from Script Editor, then Script Editor is the application. (If
you are running the script from the OS X script menu, then I'm not
sure what the application is. I would guess that it's whatever is the
current application, but I wouldn't swear to it.)
It is System Events.
