off the wall question…

How is it that some of your emails contain your pictures in the upper
right corner of your email?

I'm using OS X 10.2.6 and Mail 1.2.5 (latest version?).

I glanced at the Raw Source in Mail, but my untrained eyes have no idea
what to look for. I can't even select the pics by clicking or
right-clicking.

Sorry for posting this unrelated question to the list, but I've never
seen pics that seem embedded in the email before now.
