I have several applescripts that work just fine under 9.2.2, on several
machines, but seem to always fail on a machines that run 9.1 with "Finder
got an error: an error of type -1 has occurred." These are pretty simple
scripts, they basically just use Fetch to download files from a web
server and rename them to include the current day's date.
I'm hoping that the answer is so obvious that I'll feel stupid for
having asked. I'm happy to supply one of the scripts if needed, but
thought first I'd just ask in case this is some well known problem, with
luck allowing me to feel very stupid (which I never mind it if fixes the
problem).
In case it matters, all machines in question have 1GB of ram, plenty of
hard drive space, Fetch is set with a large memory allocation and no file
names end up exceeding 32 chars.
Thanks for any help,
John
