This brain-dead list server software can't display high-order ASCII
characters on the English keyboard, but it has no problem with
Hiragana
and Kanji. Go figure.
Are two-bit languages encoded with 7-bit or 8-bit bytes? The
Japanese showed fine in Apple Mail.
This is weird; the Japanese showed just fine on my system (Panther,
mail.app) when I received it and in my outgoing message, but not in
what was quoted back to me.
