scriptting Excel

I am trying to extract some information from different cells in Excel. I can extract the text I need if I address each cell individually by D6, H12 etc. but I need to be able to extract information dynamically by mearly selecting the cells I want, and then extract the text data in these cells.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
