Not *all* of them feature dogs, but I'm not sure where the dividing
line is. The "Missing Manual" books, for instance, have their own
cover designs. They had their reasons for choosing dogs, though I
forget what they are now. (Obviously part of the point was to have a
species theme that spanned the books, and using dogs gives you a lot of
flexibility.) There's actually a person at O'Reilly responsible for
selecting the cover animals; it's not just random.
