Making OS 9 scripts work in OS 10 - problems...resolved!!!

Ken -- I tried your scripts, and all failed due to compilation errors or
runtime errors.

Based on your note, I figured that there must be something in my
environment, so I removed Akua Sweets from my OS 9 scripting additions
folder and restarted. Now (at least 40 hours of stupid-work later) the
scripts function as expected!! Even after replacing Akua Sweets (though I
have no need to keep this OSAX), and restarting, AppleScript is working
correctly.

I thank you very much for pushing me to look for something other than the
scripting. I think I'm back in business.
