Apologies for the X-post to anyone who's also on X4U, but I didn't get a
response over there. I'm looking for a scriptable notepad/notes database
application to replace the Notes function in Entourage. I'm considering
ditching Entourage (sorry Paul) in favor of iCal/Address Book/Mail because
of the more data-centric rather than application-centric approach of the
Apple apps. The only important Entourage function that I use that doesn't
have an analogue in the Apple combo is notes. (I suppose I could make them
undated to-dos in their own iCal calendar, but I want more flexibility.) I
searched Version Tracker for notepad apps yesterday, but nothing I found was
scriptable. I'd like something simple, but with a few more features than the
old pre-OSX Notepad, e.g. things like category filtering, separate title and
content fields, and search capability. Any suggestions? (Not Stickies,
please!)
If there's nothing available, I suppose I could try rolling my own. This
should be simple enough to make a good starter project to get some dirt
under my nails in Cocoa....
Thanks,
Michael
