Relocate Script menu to another partition

Has anyone been able to move the /Library/Scripts/ folder to another
location?
I have tried aliasing and Symlinking it to another partition without
success.
Does not Apple want us to have this flexibility and maybe there is another
widget that will do it?
On a related note, Script Debugger also refuses to recognize a UNIX Symlink.
I wonder if this is an oversight or if there is a reason for it?
I wish there was something like OSA Menu in 9, which offered a different
script menu for each application.
