From English Dialect 1.3.6 (as shipped with Mac OS 8.6):

Class missing value: (msng) unavailable value, such as properties missing
from heterogeneous classes in a Whose clause
Plural form:
missing values

and also:

Class : (undf) the undefined value

Since we are discussing things that are 'not there' can anyone shed some
light on undf as well?
