iPhoto linked with AppleScriptKit.framework in order to script the clicking of a couple buttons to interact with other applications. It wasn't written in AppleScript Studio, it's a Cocoa application. In the latest version, it no longer links with AppleScriptKit as it was sort of like using hammer when a screw driver would be better suited. I just wanted to set the record straight...

iPhoto 1 was built with AStudio, I believe.

I have heard that rumour as well. But I can find no evidence to support
this. The package doesn't contain any AppleScript files that I could find
(apart from mail.scpt). Though the poor performance of the application would
indicate that it is an interpreted language, this does not appear to be the
case.
