I have, Kai. But unfortunately that doesn't work in X. Adobe Photoshop, for
example, is added to the list of processes shortly after its splash screen
appears, long before all the plugins and gubbins have loaded and the
palettes are showing. Darned furshlugginer multi-tasking.

Reason I asked in the first place is that on my humble single-processor G4,
it often seems that launching three apps at the same time takes longer than
launching them one by one.
