Your script is trying to tell Quark to use two tools at once: the
item tool (which selects one or more objects such as text boxes) and
the content tool (which enables you to alter text styles etc. within
a single box). Therefore, in such a dilemma, Quark responds in the
only way it knows how: it crashes.
There is a plug in called Text Grabber (I think) which will enable
you to alter text within more than one box, but I am not sure if it
is AppleScriptable.

Hi,
Is there a problem with a script relying on multiple selections in a
Quark 4.1 document? I've got a script that goes through every text
box checking to see if the text box is selected. If it is, some
formatting is done to that box, then it's deselected. When one text
box is selected everything works honky-dory. When more than one is
selected, Quark crashes.
Any ideas?
