Is that kinder as in kindergarten or as in kinder and gentler?

From Ed Lai's read me...

Mac OS X is a marriage of Macintosh and UNIX. The two cultures represent the opposite end of computing. The two are not always very compatible. This is an attempt to build a bridge so that AppleScripter can start to make use of UNIX shell commands. Hopefully we would then have an UNIX that is kinder and gentler to the traditional Macintosh user. However, other people may think that this is merely a child's toy. So KinderShell can either be pronounced in English or German, depending on the view point.
