While I did eat my hat (mmm...tasty), I think that the point that I was
passing along back in May (when these posts were exchanged) was the view
shared by the ed tech folks who were making the buying decision about
changing from OS9 to OSX.
Given this recent contest announcement, it seems as if there is, indeed,
more "truth" to their concern than anyone was willing to admit.
There is _some_ credence to the concern, if you interpret the contest
scoring system to favor an "easier to hack nix than mac" premise.

I, personally, know nothing about hacking either X or 9 (well, that's not
entirely true for desktop units, but...)
So, I'm only passing this interesting tidbit along, not promoting a strong
argument either way. (i.e., Please don't ask me to eat any more clothing.
It's not tasty without slow broiling it first.)
