I originally read this as Script Editor 2 beta. Is that what you
meant, or System Events?
is concerned: for example 'folder', and
'disk' become recompiled as raw code in pre-existing scripts, and
will not
compile at all as 'folder' or 'disk' in new scripts. That is, this
happens
most of the time. Some of the time it doesn't happen, or didn't
happen.
I know you've posted this before, but I've yet to see it happen. In
fact, I
held a session in a lab full of Macs with the SE beta last week, and
it
didn't happen on any of them. So I have to wonder whether there's
something
else involved.
And "SE beta" here means?
Any idea what? I can open the Finder dictionary just fine in Script
Editor
2.0 and in Script Debugger. The proper keywords appear just fine there:
'folder' , 'disk', etc.
[snip]
Does anyone have any ideas what might be making my Finder see 'folder'
as
property instead of an element (class), where Shane doesn't get this
even
though he has System Events 1.2 beta installed? Does anyone else see
the
same thing?
OS 10.2.6/AS 1.9.1 with System Events 1.2 beta. b&w G3 350/784 MB RAM.
So, the System Events beta is 1.2? I'm confused. Is anyone else?
FWIW, I've been running the first version of Script Editor 2.0 beta
ever since it came out and System Events 1.1 & I've seen none of these
problems. My hunch would be that System Events beta is the problem.
Can you downgrade?
