Are you saying they don't care about (inter-app) scripting in general or

AppleScript in particular?
Let me put one caveat...this is NOT a blanket statement by any means. The
Core AppleScript team, the Studio team, Cricket, the folks at Apple with
products that have dictionaries, (even if they are obviously still in the
baby - step stage) are not the people I'm talking about. I may not like the
dictionary in Mail very much, but you can see that it gets better, and that
Cricket, and folks like him(?) are really not only trying, but *doing* the
right thing.
But there are people at Apple in high places who really think of AppleScript
as some damned toy, or some MacMac holdover. They have the evidence to the
contrary in front of them, yet they will.not.act on it. I cannot accept that
they are too stupid to get it, so the only other choice is some moronic
personal issue. They done' mind interapp scripting, but it has to be some
Unix thing that the geeks who think that X11 is the only UI you ever need
will like, and has a 'correct' syntax that only geeks can love.
I sometimes think that the fact AppleScript is both inviting and powerful is
offensive to some people's egos, as if to say, "How DARE you allow a 'luser'
to learn how to program!"
