Jon;

I used Vicom's client under OS 9, but I had an annoying problem with it that their customer service couldn't fix -- once every few times I ran the application it would ask me for my registration information, which meant that I couldn't reliably script it. So, I fell back to Fetch, which seemed to do the job.

But, I may have to consider it again, but first I'll give Fetch a try.

If there's a better way to access an ftp site in this way, I'm all ears, otherwise its "off to script (for fetch) I go".

I recommend you have a look at the very scriptable FTP Client from Vicom.
