I can assure you and everybody on this list that the Apple engineers
responsible for GUI Scripting are acutely aware that a good object model
dictionary is always preferred over reliance on GUI Scripting.
Similarly, we at PreFab Software are long-time, dedicated AppleScripters. We
always counsel users of PreFab UI Browser who write in to our support
address for help with GUI Scripting to look at the target application's
terminology dictionary as a first resort.
Nevertheless, for applications that don't have a dictionary, or whose
dictionary isn't up to a particular task, GUI Scripting is essential.
