Send SMS via Bluetooth enabled phone?

  • Subject: Send SMS via Bluetooth enabled phone?

Is there a way to automate the sending of an SMS text message via a Bluetooth enabled phone? As Address Book allows you to send SMS text messages, this was an obvious stop but I cannot see that this can be automated using AppleScript. Am I looking in the wrong dictionary?

At this point in time I'm thrashing around for any way to achieve this - short of writing an Objective C routine. I'd really like to avoid low level coding if at all possible. Does the Bluetooth implementation in Mac OS X present itself in any form other than as an Objective C API - which is all I seem to be able to find on Apple's web site?

TIA for any reasonable pointers.

Simon Forster

P.S. Please don't bother with free (or not) online SMS services. They're NOT what I'm after at the moment.
