One thing for certain, someone else will take your place. The old group
dynamic of finding common ground by having a some poor soul to mutually
whup on has probably diminished to nil by now.

Actually, I've been instructed specifically (and repeatedly) by my
boss to
turn the "Out of Office" Autoreply on. I manage a desktop department,
but as
I suspect is the case with a lot of Mac people in PC environments, I
wear a
lot of different hats, so a lot of people contact me for various
reasons.
People in this company tend to get upset if I don't reply pretty
quickly to
their e-mails. Irony of ironies...
In any case, the issue here was not the aesthetics of autoreply
messages (I
hate the damned things, too), but my --er-- implementation of the
feature
(like I had to remind you).
Michelle Steiner & WJ Shack sent me some helpful advice & a script to
deal
with this in the future. Thank you both very much!
What a way to learn a lesson. Can I get out of the barrel now?
