I think the point is that the menu is there whether or not the
process "Internet Connect exists, and it is not recognised by any
utility I have, including iKey. It looks to me as if it can't be
done and that the only way to connect with Apple events is to launch
IC and address the application, which is a pain.

If that is indeed the case, I keep mousing to the modem menu which will certainly be a lot faster and more professional... Jim
