Therebs one is his book bLast Chance to Seeb&b with Mark Carwardine (an excellent cross between humour and the state of nature on this planet):
Ibve just spent a cheerful hour of my time writing a program on my computer that will tell me instantly what the volume of the mound was. Itbs a very neat and sexy program with all sorts of pop-up menus and things, and the advantage of doing it the way I have is that on any future occasion on which I need to know the volume of a megapode nest, given its basic dimensions, my computer will give me the answer is less than a second, which is a wonderful saving of time. The downside, I suppose, is that I cannot conceive of any future occasion that I am likely to need to know the volume of a megapode next, but no matter: the volume of this mound is a little over nine cubic yards.

I remember two things: I had to respecify the phone number, account name, password, etc; which the GUI normally remembers; and a distinct lack of success. The only web articles I could find were also singularly unsuccessful.
The plan was to use ssh to initiate an Internet connection on another machine, which I would then piggyback off.
It must be possible, because the GUIbs just issuing Unix commands, but as for the exact sequence and parametersb&
