As a side note: Is there a Mac OS 9.1.2? I don't remember such a version,
though I suppose it could have come with a specific Mac model. If you
mean 9.2.1, then you should IMHO upgrade to 9.2.2. Personally I think
9.2.1 generally sucks.
As of your problem, the OS update suggested may not solve your problems.
But you might as well try and see if the error is in the OS or not. If
you do upgrade, do a clean install.
I'm unfortunately not familiar with Smile, but there ought to be info on
the smile website on what OS and script version it supports.
