Delete FTP file

Need to delete a specific file on a remote FTP once a day, and just can't
figure out how to go about this.

Since OSX doesn't let Finder get write access to mounted FTP sites, I can't
do it the simple way, nor would I want the client to see a application start
up just for the sake of a simple deletion.

Is it possible to have a shell script do the job for me?

I tried scripting FTP from the Terminal, and it worked fine, but I would
love to do it all in one "Do shell script", without having to start up
Terminal.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
