I hope this type of question is appropriate for this list and if it isn't
I'm sure you'll let me know.
I have an assignment from my partner to review all of the HTML documents
currently available at our website (a little over 400 HTML pages) and return
to him a list with all of the various META tags that are contained in those
documents for review. I'm assuming that the next request will be a list of
all KEYWORDS used in these same documents.
I use BBEdit 7.0.1 for web development and have reworked almost all of these
pages to comply with W3C standards so there won't be any proprietary code
from any WYSIWYG HTML editors. I inherited about 25% of the pages which
originally were done by a design firm and they had used Adobe Golive 5.x and
it was pretty ugly - but all of that is out of the way now.
So my question is this: "Is this something that Applescript could handle or
should I just do a batch search using BBEdit?"
Thanks for any guidance and help.
