Sounds like you need to give your script application a unique creator
type or bundle identifier.

Hey guys,
Is it possible to use an applescript as a protocol helper. All I want
to do
is pass a text string from a url clicked in a web to a local
applescript. I
cannot even get the protocol configured properly. I have tried this in
Mac
OS X 10.2.6. I can create a new protocol using IE 5.2.2 and then add an
applescript app to it. Every thing looks good until I close it and re
open
it. The applescript reverts to "Mimic PC Monitor" which is a script
burried
in the Library folder. Testing the new protocol confirms the error as
it
launches the "Mimic PC Monitor script. Can anyone tell me why this is
happening, and how I can fix it? I have tried this on multiple
computers
with the same results.
Thanks,
Graham
