We're using the following which seems to work fine:
set mypdf to "your:path:here:test.pdf" as text
tell application "InDesign 2.0.2"
set thedoc to active document
tell thedoc
try
export format PDF type to mypdf using "yourPDF style" without
showing options
on error errmess
beep
display dialog "There was an error trying to PDF this document "
& errmess
end try
end tell -- thedoc
end tell -- ID
