"The new Script Editor application has been
completely re-designed and re-written for
Mac OS X v.10.3. Among the many new features
incorporated into its advanced design is support
for URL Protocol Messaging or the ability to
receive data and commands contained in URLs
embedded in webpages or sent by other
applications. Scripters will now be able to
retrieve scripts and code snippets by simply
clicking a hyperlink on a website."

There's a link on the page that uses the protocol and it works, but...
Warning: I know of at least three people who have
installed beta II (including me on OS X 10.2.6).
All of us have been unable to save scripts
without causing a Script Editor crash. Maybe it
requires OS X 10.3 - the download page (above)
doesn't say.
