I was.

the FMPro help documentation itself is pretty extensive, I think.

Well I'll be darned. Right under my nose. I hardly ever use any of the help with applications because most of it is so superficial. But this looks like it holds some promise.

If you're looking for details on AppleScripting FMPro there is actually a nice resource available from FileMaker. I'll just quote the FileMaker Pro Help documentation:

No, that's not what I was looking for, and I did know about the samples there. So far, apart from some bugs that made me curse I'm not concerned about the AppleScript part.

Of course, the advent of OSX has turned a lot of FMP AppleScripting upside down,

Yeah, I ran into some of that last weekend. Not much to do about that.

Another resource I've used in the past is a Visual QuickStart Guide book called "AppleScript for the Internet". Despite its title, it has a nice section on FileMaker, as well as chapters on numerous other Mac apps.

I own that,

Actually, I see now that the latest revision of this book has a more apt title: "AppleScript for Applications".

I'm familiar with these books, but it's Scriptology I'd like to get.
