the FMPro help documentation itself is pretty extensive, I think.
Well I'll be darned. Right under my nose. I hardly ever use any of
the help with applications because most of it is so superficial. But
this looks like it holds some promise.
If you're looking for details on AppleScripting FMPro there is
actually a nice resource available from FileMaker. I'll just quote
the FileMaker Pro Help documentation:

Yeah, I ran into some of that last weekend. Not much to do about that.
Another resource I've used in the past is a Visual QuickStart Guide
book called "AppleScript for the Internet". Despite its title, it
has a nice section on FileMaker, as well as chapters on numerous
other Mac apps.

Actually, I see now that the latest revision of this book has a more
apt title: "AppleScript for Applications".
I'm familiar with these books, but it's Scriptology I'd like to get.
