Script Editor could not be opened

Since "upgrading" to 10.2,
when in 9.22, double clicking any script file gives this error;
"The Application program 3,iS2T 1]:C-Z2
could not be opened"
-- that contains a lot of (option) characters,
so will not display on this list properly,
but it starts with a tick, expect it is Japanese,
part of 10.2 Script Editor, which has been compressed,
but this still persists.
10 does split files up and hide them in various places, (with the same name)
Tried searching for part of the file name, but think it is in a package.
Anyone else come across this?
Similar problem with Acrobat, but stuffed that OK.
