I'm familiar with Audion, but I've never used it's editor. Anyway, the sort
of stuff you're talking about (dragging files into windows, entering
keyboard commands, etc.) requires the use of something like QuickKeys or
KeyQuencer. But Emmanuel's suggestion seems like a good idea. I was just
looking at Quicktime's AppleScript dictionary and it seems like it can do
all the stuff you want it to do.
As to the Finder trolling through items in a folder, here's one way to go
about it:
tell application "Finder"
set theFileList to every item of (choose folder)
repeat with theCurrentItem in theFileList
--perform any action(s) you want on the currently referenced file
end repeat
end tell
If your folder contains sub-folders then you will have to add some recursion
to get at the files in the sub-folders. There may be issues with memory if
your folder contains a huge number of files, too (there are others on this
list who would know better than I). You should also check, on each iteration
of the repeat loop, if the theCurrentItem is the sort of file you want to
work with.
good luck
