That's normal. You deal with something for many years, you forget what you
had to learn. I run into that explaining networks...too much stuff that I
forgot learning about.

Not just filters, but the UI in general. Simply adding more cruft into the
existing UI isn't enough. It's like customizing a Beetle. I can jam all
kinds of stuff to make it an Uber-Beetle, but it will never be a GTO...it
will just be an overblown Beetle. At some point, you have to throw out old
assumptions, and re-examine things to decide if they're a good idea because
they're a good idea, or because that's the way you've always done it.

I just cut to the chase...give me a rum cornucopia, and eventually, I'll be
so drunk that the lasses won't matter as much ;-)

The GPL is not something we really considered to be a license so much as a
political manifesto, and speaking purely for myself, I prefer to keep my
license agreements and my politics separate. I feel that code which isn't
being used in a situation where it COULD be used is code which isn't
achieving its full potential and the GPL scares a lot of potential users
away, which is simply counter-productive in my opinion. I don't care whether
or not the users give their changes back to me, that's just an added bonus
if it happens and nothing I'd want to try and enforce at the point of a gun.
