Shane/Andy - thanks for your help.
Your advice, though ever so slightly different worked well - with path
objects. What do I do about text?
This works perfectly for paths:
set fill overprint of every path item whose fill color is {cyan:0,
magenta:0, yellow:0, black:0} to false
By the same syntax, this should work for text but won9t:
set fill overprint of text of every text art item whose fill color is
{cyan:0, magenta:0, yellow:0, black:0} to false
This does work though:
set fill overprint of text of every text art item to false
I9ve tried every combination of 3text of text art items2 etc but still get
an error no matter what I do. It seems that whenever I add a colour
specifier in there, it fails. I9ve done a properties of the text and only
when I get the properties of 3text of text art item2 does it give me the
fill colour.
It9s driving me nuts...
