How easy is it to do GUIs in Applescript?

Suppose I have a list in an AS script which I want to display as a GUI
table, and allow the user to select rows to delete? And adjust column
widths and table size?

Is this possible? Easy? Fairly easy? Or hard with a long learning curve?
