I don't quite understand how ghostscript is creating inferior PDFs. OSX's
built in "Save as PDF" is a piece of crap. It doesn't work with just about
every Central European language and doesn't provide any options over the
type and quality of PDF created.
We've been using ghostscript to create PDFs for a couple of a few months for
our multilingual Illustrator artworks (WE, CE, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic).
There's some issues with reading the PDFs with Acrobat 4, but we've never
had any problems with accented characters not encoding correctly.
Install the latest version of ghostscript (AFPL Ghostscript 8.00). You'll
need to install it from the terminal - let me know if you need any help.

Especially, accented caracters are processed very badly with Ghostscript...

I have tried the Nino's PS Writer and the result is OK. So now, my unique
